Prayer I Have Heard In A
Long Time...
What Hinders You From Bearing Fruit? Read this scripture and mediatate... Do you see yourself? John 15:1-11 "I
am the vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me
that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that
beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in
me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in
me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without
me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth
as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into
the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words
abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be
my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in my love. These things have I spoken unto you, that
my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. WHY
EVEN GO TO CHURCH? I've gone 30 years now, he wrote, and in
that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of
me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my
time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all. This started a real controversy in the
Letters to the Editor column, much to the delight of the editor. It went
on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: I've been married for 30
years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for
nourishment, I would be
spiritually
dead today. When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something!
Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the
impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!
Why We Groan? 2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. Proverbs 28:2 KJV When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But with wise and knowledgeable leaders, there is stability. New Living Translation 2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2 KJV 2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan. Revised Standard Version4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it. Proverbs 29:4 KJV 4 By justice a king gives stability to the land, but one who exacts gifts ruins it. Revised Standard Version 16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. Proverbs 29:16 KJV 16 When the wicked are in authority, transgression increases; but the righteous will look upon their downfall. Revised Standard Version
All Believers are part of God's Family Finally, all of you should be of one mind, full of sympathy toward
each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds.
Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate when people say unkind things
about you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God
wants you to do and he will bless you for it. For the scriptures say, 1 Peter 3:8-12 NL
Search Me Lord...clean ME up! 41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Luke 6:41-45
How to make it in... Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. KJV Matthew 7:13-21
God Will do the Separating...face it, as great as you think you are, you're just not qualified. 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Humbleness Two
men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax
collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I
thank thee that I am not like other men, extortionists, unjust,
adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week, I give
tithes of all that I get.' But the tax collector, standing far off,
would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,
'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his
house justified rather than the other; for every one who exalts himself
will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.
God Knows Who You Are My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one. John 10:27-30 Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not heed them. I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:7-10
Seeking
God's will first
brings perspective. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew
6:33 KJV
The truth is that in order to enjoy the Word, we ought to continue to
read it, and the way to obtain a spirit of prayer is to continue
praying. The less we read the Word of God, the less we desire to read
it, and the less we pray, the less we desire to pray. |

The Blood of Christ...
One
night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her
heart. She
responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The
young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and
prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she
became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved
in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until
this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's
son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This
is when the problems began. You
see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past
such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The
church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to
have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions
increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young
woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her
past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not
bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his
statement was this: "My
fiance's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is
the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put
the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?" The
whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been
slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Too
often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon
against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational
part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If
the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it
cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a
lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins? Nothing
but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!! "Cast
thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never
suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm
55:23
